Gesture poses are my favorite. With gesture, you’re capturing an esscence. The esscence of the person, the situation, the room, the mood. And I feel that doing this quickly as you do in gesture drawings captures this esscence at its most raw and unedited state. There is no time for correction, editing, or erasing with gesture drawings. You’re capturing a quick moment with your hand.
